Add SankeyArt to Claude

Pick one: the connector, or the plugin, which brings the connector and a skill for cash flow statements, balance sheets and budgets.

The connector

Any Claude plan. On Free, it takes your one custom connector.

  1. Click Add to Claude. claude.ai opens Customize → Connectors with SankeyArt filled in. To add it by hand, choose Add custom connector, name it SankeyArt and enter this URL:
    https://mcp.sankeyart.com/
  2. Choose Sign in when needed and Claude's published identity, then add the connector. You can then draw diagrams without signing in.
  3. Ask Claude for a Sankey diagram. SankeyArt is now in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps too.

The plugin

Paid Claude plans, with code execution turned on.

  1. On claude.ai, open Customize → Plugins and choose Add marketplace.
  2. Enter the marketplace and install SankeyArt from it:
    sankeyart/claude-plugin
  3. Ask Claude for a Sankey diagram. Added the connector before? Remove it, so SankeyArt isn't connected twice.

What to ask Claude

Write as you would to a colleague. A few prompts to start with:

  • Turn this income statement into a Sankey diagram.
  • Draw a Sankey diagram of Demo Corp's income statement in $M: revenue 1,000, cost of revenue 600, operating expenses 250, income tax 30, net income 120.
  • Rename Operating expenses to OpEx and make the cost items orange.
  • Draw a Sankey diagram of my monthly budget in €: salary 4,000 and side job 500; rent 1,400, groceries 600, transport 250, leisure 400, and I save the rest.
  • Open my Demo Corp cash flow diagram and tell me the operating cash flow.

No watermark on exports, and more export options.

When Claude first needs your account, it shows a button that signs you in to SankeyArt. See plans

Frequently asked questions

Yes, drawing diagrams is free and needs no SankeyArt account; they carry a small SankeyArt watermark. With a SankeyArt subscription your diagrams have no watermark, and Claude saves them in your SankeyArt account and opens them from there. On the Claude Free plan you can add one custom connector, which can be SankeyArt.

Yes. Once you add SankeyArt on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, it is there in the Desktop and mobile apps as well, as long as you are signed in to the same Claude account, and the diagram shows in the chat in all of them.

The connector lets Claude draw, save and open diagrams. The plugin brings the connector plus a skill that tells Claude how to lay out cash flow statements, balance sheets and budgets so they read well. Plugins need a paid Claude plan with code execution turned on. Add one or the other, not both.

Only the diagram Claude draws: the names and amounts of its items. SankeyArt doesn't see the rest of your conversation or the files you give Claude. Read more in our privacy policy.

No. SankeyArt draws only the figures you or your files give Claude, and doesn't give financial advice.
