Sankey diagrams in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Give your finance team a Copilot agent that turns the monthly P&L into a Sankey diagram, ready for the PowerPoint deck.

Add SankeyArt to Microsoft 365 Copilot

Add SankeyArt to an agent in Copilot Studio, then publish the agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. You need to be able to create agents in Copilot Studio.

  1. In Copilot Studio, create an agent or open one. Next to Tools, click + and add an MCP server.
  2. Name it SankeyArt and enter this URL:
    https://mcp.sankeyart.com/
  3. Create a connection, sign in to SankeyArt and click Add. Set the tool's authentication to End user account, so each colleague signs in to their own SankeyArt account.
  4. Under Channels, add Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams, publish the agent and ask it for a Sankey diagram there.

What to ask Copilot

Write as you would to a colleague. A few prompts to start with:

  • Turn this income statement into a Sankey diagram.
  • Draw a Sankey diagram of Demo Corp's income statement in $M: revenue 1,000, cost of revenue 600, operating expenses 250, income tax 30, net income 120.
  • Rename Operating expenses to OpEx and make the cost items orange.
  • Draw a Sankey diagram of our department budget in €: funding 2.4M; salaries 1.5M, software 300K, travel 150K, and the rest is reserve.
  • Save that diagram in my SankeyArt account.

Draw for free, save your edits with a subscription

Free, without an account

Draw as many diagrams as you like with Copilot, then refine them in the SankeyArt editor, faster and more precisely than by prompting.

Your edits aren't saved, and exports carry a small "created with SankeyArt.com" watermark.

With a SankeyArt subscription

Your edits are saved to the SankeyArt cloud, and Copilot can open your saved diagrams and update them.

No watermark on exports, and more export options.

When the agent first needs your account, it asks you to sign in to SankeyArt. See plans
